The graphic designer and illustrator from Brazil loves all the human beings and she approves it by drawing the positive side of them. As she says «human beings are an eternal source of inspiration».

Tell me about the series of illustrations with women and their different stories. The Women series began in a very spontaneous way. At first, I just wanted to practice my technique with colored pencils while saying something nice to my friends, who already followed my work. It always bothered me the world`s constant attempts to control women`s bodies, behaviors and identities. This control is such a deep part of our culture that we hardly ever realize how cruel it is and how it restricts our personal choices. However, I don`t believe it`s enough to discuss exclusively the issues that affect a specific group of women. We also need to talk about racism, homophobia, transphobia, classicism, xenophobia and ableism. The fight for equality and respect is very wide and should be inclusive.  Why did you inspired by women? Because women re inspiring. Human beings are an eternal source of inspiration. Do you believe that there is not equality between women and men? I`m pretty sure here is no equality. And the fact that my work became so popular worldwide leads me to believing that it`s an issue everywhere – even though in different ways.Do you believe that the biggest skill in art is the art of observation?I`m not really sure what the biggest skill in art is. Sure observation is important, but it`s not enough if you can`t express it. Expression is the first thing, I suppose. Tell me a few things about yourself. Where did you born, what did you study, where is your current home etc. I was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where I also live until today. I graduated in graphic design. I never really had a formal education in drawing or illustration, but I`ve always practiced a lot. Tell me a crazy dream that you have about yourself. I`d really like to have a bathtub at home. Not that crazy, but still a good dream. Your illustrations carry lots of meanings. What is the basic meaning that you want to send out loud? I think the fundamental meaning there is that everyone`s identity, body and personal choices should be respected.Your art have a happy statement. What happiness means to you?  I think it`s important to send out some positivity, even when dealing with strong and tense themes. I think happiness is something very personal, that will be different for every person, but in all cases it can`t be achieved without being free to make our own choices, being ourselves and loving ourselves.  Describe me a day in your life.  No that interesting I guess. I wake up, I work at home. I cook my own meals and try my best to be healthy. I have a husband and we get along pretty well. Mostly, I work the whole day and rest at night. Watch a movie, read a book, stay with my beloved. I don`t go out much. I sleep 8 hours a day. How may hours do you work per day? I try not to work more than 8 hours a day, but usually it`s around 10. Which is also good, because last year I came to the point of working 15 hours, which was way to much to stay healthy and happy. People loved your illustration. How did you feel about it? I feel wonderful! It`s an honor, really!
